New Product Launches to Boost Pressure Sensors Demand
Massive penetration of pressure
sensors in industrial applications such as hydraulics, water management,
pneumatics, off-highway vehicles, pumps and compressors, and refrigeration
systems will boost the market. A large number of industry players are competing
with each other to acquire a major chunk of market share through new product
and technology launches along with forming the strategic partnerships, joint
ventures, and capacity expansions. All these strategies are adopted by the
industry players for fulfilling the immense demand for new products from
various business verticals. According to Allied Market Research Report, the global pressure sensor market is anticipated to accrue
$24.84 billion by 2027. Following are the few of the trends witnessed across
the pressure sensors market.
Industry players have implemented new
product launches as a key business strategy to expand their existing product line or
extend their product line[PK1] . Continental AG, a German
automotive component manufacturer, launched the second generation of
differential pressure sensors in China. The strategic move of the firm is aimed
at the portfolio and regional expansion. Moreover, Sensata Technologies, an
industrial tech firm and leading provider of sensors, launched highly accurate hermetic
pressure sensors for various industrial applications. Reportedly, the firm
launched new hermetic pressure sensors PTE7100 and PTE7300 for industrial applications
with high and medium pressure ranges. Moreover, this new series of pressure
sensors offer high burst strength, high shock, and vibration performance. The
strategic move is aimed at providing highly reliable and strong sensor
solutions for end-users requiring accurate high and medium pressure
measurements.
Continuing with this trend of new
product launches, Positek Limited, the manufacturer and supplier of first-class
sensor solutions, launched a new subsea pressure transmitter. Reportedly, the
product, which is also referred to as a new S401 pressure transmitter, can be
used in marine, submersible, and offshore applications. Moreover, the new
product is available with gauge pressure measurements ranging from 0.6 to 2000
bar. The product also finds extensive applications in oil & gas, mining,
farming, and transportation industries. The move will help the firm expand its
product line and generate huge demand for its products across various sectors.
New product launch strategy adopted
by industry players contributes immensely toward their sales and revenues. WIKA
Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG, a German firm manufacturing pressure and
temperature measuring device, launched a new model MTF-1 pressure sensor module
for industrial applications. Furthermore, the product is a simple and flexible
alternative for integrating pressure measurement into a slew of industrial applications.
Reportedly, the product is designed for energy conserving operations, and hence,
finds massive usage in battery-operated applications.
Emerson Electric Company launched a
new manifold family of products for its Rosemount pressure transmitters. Reportedly,
these new products equalize or shut off pressure at the transmitters. These
manifold products are referred as Rosemount Integral Manifolds and provide improvements
in the basic functionalities of pressure transmitters. The Rosemount R305 Integral
Manifold is designed for gauge pressure and differential pressure transmitter applications.
While, the Rosemount R306 Integral Manifold is designed for in-line gauge pressure
and absolute pressure transmitter applications.
